11 months!

I can't quite believe that Morgan is 11 months old today. Unfortunately she spiked a fever in the middle of the night so she's home with Mommy today. I did get this cute pic though.

A Full Day

Will had his quarterly checkup today for his Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA). He sees a wonderful doctor at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. I feel so lucky to have such an outstanding medical facility just 20 minutes down the road. He's doing well and is completely weaned from his medication. We have to continue to see her quarterly for awhile to check his knees and make sure no other joints are involved but at this point he has no symptoms - Praise God!!

Fun in the exam room....Will loves watching tv shows on my iPod and playing with the chalkboard.

Mom & Will

After our appointment Will's reward for being such a good patient (both kids were SO good....it was a long wait this time!), was to hit CoralRidge Mall and ride the indoor carousel.

We also visited Herky the Hawk at the Scheels store. Will can't wait until the Hawkeyes hit the football field again this fall.

After a long day, I think the 3 of us will sleep well tonight!

Happy Easter!

We had a great time in Des Moines with the family for Easter weekend. We had two egg hunts, a tea party and lots and lots of fun with the cousins. Baby sis wasn't at her best this weekend....I'm expecting a tooth or two to make an appearance this week after her fussiness this weekend.

You can't beat a tea party at Nana's house after hunting Easter eggs. The kids had cookies, pretzels, jelly beans & lemonade! A perfect late afternoon snack.

We had lots of excitement this morning when the kids discovered that the Bunny himself had paid a visit. (CocoPuff was still sleeping....lucky girl!)

All the older kids got lots of chocolate and jelly beans. Baby sis had to make do with her paci for now.

Will looked so handsome and grown-up today at lunch. It's times like that I look at him and wonder where 5 1/2 years have gone.

Baby sis really liked brother's bunny ears!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!!

A Sicky

Morgan's dealing with something that is NOT influenza, RSV, or pneumonia (thank goodness). However, this means it's just a "really bad cold" (direct quote from our nurse practitioner). She doesn't want to be put down which means Mommy and Morgan spent most of last night like this...

Photo courtesy of big brother Will - he's getting good with the camera! Morgan & I stayed home today and she seemed better, her cheeks aren't quite as rosy.

Let's hope we both get some sleep tonight!!

Bowling and other fun stuff

Will loves to go bowling. At least once a month, he & I head to the local bowling alley to bowl a few games. We always bowl with bumpers so he's as likely to beat me as I am him. A trip to the bowling alley always includes a soft pretzel & lemonade for Will and a Pepsi for Mom. (Will insisted I take this picture)!

Tonight the scores were pretty even...Mom won the first game and Will the second. The other thing Will loves about the bowling alley is the music. They play lots of fun music LOUD! and Will LOVES to dance.

The other thing Will discovered this weekend is that Morgan is now old enough for him to carry her. Of course this isn't so much carrying as FLINGING around but sissy seems to love it...and he hasn't dropped her yet!

In Like a Lion?

Will was out today enjoying the winter sunshine. With temps in the 40s, it was great to be outside. I hope that the "in like a lion, out like a lamb" saying for March doesn't reverse itself....because there certainly weren't any lions today!

The kids and I also took time for our Saturday morning breakfast tradition after taking a couple of weeks off because of the weather. Just look at my sweeties!
