Life on Fast Forward
I don't think we really stopped to take a breath after the wedding, we just dove right back into the craziness. Dentist appointments, ENT consults (for both kids), tonsillectomy scheduled, football practice & games, baseball practice & games, a sinus infection, a pacemaker for Granddaddy, Mother's Day, Uncle JM's visit, a sick baby girl, a quick trip to UIHC (yay for no eye inflammation!) and phew...I'm ready for the weekend!
So needless to say we've been busy. We've had lots of fun things too. Will learned to ride his bike without training wheels and he is SO proud! He does a great job and can't wait to ride his bike when we get home at night. Morgan's been sick...fighting a cold/cough/icky nose thing. She seems to be on the mend. She too is learning to ride...her tricycle that is. She loves her "Hello Kitty" helmet and riding her trike across the street to feed the fish. I was the one with the sinus infection. UGH, I waited too long to go to the doctor, but it's much better now. Eric's brother was visiting and they enjoyed golfing. Eric & I also got out on the course last weekend for the first time this year - YAY for PAR! :) We're hoping to do a lot more golfing this year.
This weekend is baseball and then maybe a little down time. It's supposed to be WARM!

Perfect
That's what Eric & I kept saying to each other Saturday night and Sunday. Our day was exactly what we wanted it to be. Our family surrounded us (less my grandparents and Eric's grandma who we missed!!!), everyone was relaxed and happy and the weather was beautiful! Our vows were traditional and heartfelt and we both felt so peaceful. It was a wonderful day of celebration and joy.
One funny thing, after we got home on Sunday night, Eric was moving some stuff upstairs to (formerly) my, (now) our bedroom and Will was just fascinated by the fact that we were going to sleep in the same bed now. He kept asking what was going to happen if I rolled onto Eric's side of the bed. Monday morning, he had to rush to find Eric so he could find out if I "crossed the line!" I think he thought that Eric would push me out of bed or something. It's cute. Otherwise, we're back in our routines, like normal. We keep looking at each other and saying "This is why people take a honeymoon!" We really don't want to be back at work so quickly! We're looking forward to Memorial Day weekend!

"May you take the past for what it is. Celebrate what needs to be celebrated. Grieve what needs to be grieved. And then move on. And accept from God a new spirit. A new day.”
