Saturday Mornings
Most Saturday mornings Will, Morgan & I head out for breakfast at our favorite Hy-Vee. This is a fun idea that we got from Uncle Buck. Will knows all the servers now...and they even know that we always order pancakes, toast and chocolate milk. Afterwards, Will pays for breakfast (with Mommy's debit card) and we're off to wander the fun-filled aisles of Hy-Vee and look at the lobsters and especially all the birthday cakes. Will has already picked out Morgan's birthday cake for this year as well as his cake for the next 6 years or so! Morgan and I trail along behind Will as he navigates with "his" shopping cart. Who knew the grocery store could be so much fun?

The Bear Hat
A Look Back - Christmas 2007
We spent 3 wonderful days over Christmas with my sister Laura & her family. The boys had a wonderful time playing together (like always) and we all got wonderful presents and ate way too much.
Two Teeth
Miss Morgan has two new teeth poking through. These are her first two teeth. Maybe THAT'S why she was so unhappy last week. 2 down, 18 more to go!
He's So Young....
Anyone who knows me knows that this picture causes me great pain! ;) I'm a Republican till the end (disagree if you will) but Will's father is not and so early in January Will attended the Democratic caucus. He brought home lots of goodies and is now an ardent Obama supporter. He loves to tell me whenever one of the candidates is on the news. This led to a fun conversation the other day. He said "Mom, they just said Democrats on the news....that's Obama!" I said "Yes, buddy, you're right." I thought for a minute, then asked a question...."Will, are you a Democrat?" "Yeah, Mom, I think so." Oh, he's so young.

Just Starting Out
I have several friends who are expert bloggers and use this as a tool to keep in touch with family and friends around the country. I figured what the heck, I'll try it too. The kiddos grow so quickly that I hope you all can see pictures and what they are up to every so often.
Will's such a great big brother. He runs to see his baby sis every morning and showers her with hugs and kisses. He makes her laugh like no one else can. She loves to watch him run around and dance the "running man". And Morgan loves her big brother! I was cuddling with both of them tonight as they were drifting off to sleep and I thought "I don't want this moment to end! Please stay small just a little longer". Already Morgan's growing so quickly. She's sitting up on her own and reaching for things just out of reach. She said "Mama" today. (and she wasn't just babbling ;)) . My babies. My sweet God given gifts. I don't know what I've done to deserve you.
