Sunday 9/26

Today was another busy day. We LOVED the beautiful weather and were outside lots. Around noon, Will and I headed to Wal-Mart for more Boy Scout popcorn sales. Today was so much better than yesterday's rain. After that we headed home to say good-bye to Grandpa as he had to head back to Atlanta. While Eric was putting together the flag stand for Will's Boy Scout troop, Will and I were painting the other pieces. That led to a LONG finger-painting session with Grandma. We played cars & trucks, went to the playground and had tons of fun!We had two tired kiddos tonight who went to bed without a fuss! I'm right behind them! :)

Saturday 9/25

We had a fun day today! Grandpa was home from Atlanta and the #10 Hawgs were playing a HUGE game against #1 Alabama. Hanging out waiting for the game to startWe had lots of yummy game day food - Will loved the scotcheroos!Morgan couldn't bear to watch the end. :(

Grandma came home from Vail later today and the kids were thrilled to see her! They can't wait for more fun with Grandma & Grandpa tomorrow!

Friday 9/24

Morgan was rocking her baby to sleep tonight. Then she tried to tell me that SHE couldn't go to bed because her baby was asleep in her bed....tricky tricky. :)

Tuesday 9/21

This is what happened about 1pm yesterday:

It was golf ball size in Marion and at work. Several co-workers had broken windshields or windows. Thankfully, our vehicles were in somewhat protected spots and we didn't have any damage.

Sunday 9/19

Our weekend flew by. The kids were with their dad and Eric & I had tons to do on the "old" house, as it went on the market officially on Friday! We worked hard, got lots done and are happy that we're done with the hard stuff for now. We're all exhausted so we're heading for an early bedtime tonight. Maybe pictures tomorrow? :)

Wednesday 9/15

So my DARLING children were up early this morning. How early you ask?

Yes, that's them watching cartoons at 5:55am this morning. Mommy needs some caffeine!

Monday 9/13

It was Will's first night of Cub Scouts tonight and he had a blast! He learned the Cub Scout motto and salute and they worked on making his den flag.

Sunday 9/12

We had a wonderful day today! We had a fun, leisurely lunch with some dear friends and the kids had TONS of fun with A & E. We can't wait to do it again soon. Later we hit the ball fields for some practice for Will and running for Morgan. We also tired them out ;) at the playground!

Friday 9/10

Today was the Hawk Walk at Will's school. It's their once-a-year fundraiser and they raised over $16,000! The weather turned out perfectly and the rain held off until we were done.

This is when they found out they exceeded their goal and won an bounce house party next week!

Wednesday 9/8

Tonight was soccer and what a GORGEOUS night! This week it's been 72 and sunny - perfect weather in my opinion!

Monday 9/6

Bounty! The kids love helping with Grandma's garden while she's away. We hadn't picked in awhile so we had lots today!

Both kids are loving the new chalkboard/whiteboard we got at Ikea.

MMMMM, smells like fall in our house today! Pumpkin bread! Come on fall!

SURPRISE!

That's what my sweetie said to me early Saturday morning. I wasn't exactly sure what he was talking about....but I was to pack and get in the van. Ummmm, OK! Turns out we were off to Minneapolis for a quick overnight getaway. We spent lots of time at Ikea (WOOHOO!) and came away with some great deals and storage solutions for our new living space. After that it was back to the hotel for a quick nap and then off to my favorite steak place, Ruth's Chris, for an incredible dinner. After a blissfully quiet and uninterrupted (no kids!) sleep we explored the Mall of America for several hours before heading south to home and the kids. We had SUCH a wonderful time and it was so good to get away even for only 36 hours. And the best part? We still have a whole day of vacation tomorrow! My sweet hubby rocks! :)

Thursday 9/2

Tonight was Morgan's first night of gymnastics and she LOVED it! This was the first year that I didn't go in with her, so there were a few tears at first, but as you can see from the pictures the tears dried quickly!

Wednesday 9/1

I left the camera on and the battery is now dead. So we get camera phone pictures today!

In other exciting news, Will broke a tooth a couple of weeks ago...on a PLASTIC water bottle. Oh, joy, more dental work.
