Ok, WHERE did September go?
We had a crazy busy month. Will started Cub Scouts and continued with soccer. Morgan started gymnastics. Eric & I have been blessed to join a small group Bible study and spent hours and hours getting the 'north' house ready to go on the market. It feels like life is speeding by and we don't have chance to really appreciate the blessings that we've been given.
The kids are wonderful. We have our issues, of course. Will got a note in his agenda yesterday that said "We are working on Will being a positive leader". What does that mean? In Will's words "Um, I need to work on my talking in class..." Wonder where he got that? :) Morgan's going through a phase (at least I hope it's a phase) of having temper tantrums at the drop of a hat and we're not sure what's setting her off. My point is, I want to remind myself that these things are temporary. I adore my kids. They are funny, they make me laugh, I love hugging and holding them. I love tickling Morgan and hearing her giggle. I love the moments at night after we pray when Will grasps my hand and pulls me closer for a hug. I love the look of shock when Eric & I surprised Will with McDonald's for lunch at school yesterday. I love Morgan's crazy curls. I love Morgan's prayer every.single.night. for the little girl who pushed her down the water slide at Cherry Hill Park well over a month ago ;). These are the things I want to remember and celebrate.
And my sweet husband. What a gift this man is to me. He takes care of me in the biggest and the smallest ways. From tucking me in when I have a headache to stopping to get me a chai on the way to work, to folding laundry because he knows I hate it. He holds me when I've had a bad day and prays for me. Again, we're not perfect (shocking, I know), but we are good for each other. We both understand now what it is to be loved unconditionally. I am so grateful and so incredibly blessed.
