Today was a day off of school so we headed west early this morning. The destination was the SAC (Strategic Air Command) museum west of Omaha.
This spy plane greeted us as we walked in the door:
The kids loved the flight trainer and navigation set up:

This is the closest I ever want to be to a thermonuclear hydrogen bomb: the case!

My dad was part of the SAC when he was in the Air Force and we were lucky to see one of the enormous planes he flew during that time - the B-52.

As luck would have it (for Will) there was a Star Wars exhibit there while we were visiting:
This was a replica of the Apollo ship that carried the astronauts back to earth.
We had a great visit to the museum and can't wait to go back!
